1st - 4th Grade Ministry
OUR MISSION:
Each week, 1st-4th graders are invited to participate in a safe, fun, and purposeful time of fun games, worship, and biblical teaching through Large Groups (Sundays) and small groups (Wednesdays). We are committed to helping your child grow in every aspect of their relationship with Jesus and knowledge of God's Word. Our volunteer staff have a passion for serving in children’s ministry and have a deep desire to see children know, love, and serve Jesus.

And if they have an older sibling in 5th - 6th grade, they can relate to their Sunday's (Large Group) lesson as they both will be learning the same thing at age appropriate levels.

All our KidNation volunteers have cleared a background check and have been properly trained by our church staff to better serve you and your kids.

Each time kids are with us we strive to ensure that we accomplish our mission:

We call it the KNOW - GROW - GO challenge.
KNOW GOD:
teaching kids who God is and who they are in Christ Jesus.
teaching kids they can establish a real relationship with God.
GROW IN GOD:
teaching kids that they can share God's love with others.
GO WITH GOD:
WE MAKE WHAT WE DO EACH WEEK MATTER:
From the time a child is born until they graduate from high-school, they have aprox. 936 weeks. It seems like a-lot, but it goes by fast. In fact, on any given year, to any given child, the Church only has about 40 weeks to teach children biblical principles that they can apply in their everyday lives. (That's even taking into consideration vacations, holidays, and sick days each year.) We know that we have a short window of time, so we are intentional about the time we spend with the kids in KidNation.

Studies prove that kids form their idea of who God is and choose whether or not they'll have a relationship with Him before leaving 5th grade. Therefore our strategy is to partner with families and parents to help their child discover and embrace a personal relationship with Jesus, both at Dream City Church and at home.
How can we accomplish this? By showing kids that the Bible is the source of wisdom and truth, how what they learn applies to their daily lives, and that their relationship with their small group leaders and friends matter.

There are three core truths that we want each kid to know before they leave the 6th grade:
1) I CAN TRUST GOD NO MATTER WHAT
2) I NEED TO MAKE THE WISE CHOICE
3) I SHOULD TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WANT TO BE TREATED
Sometime parents just need a cue. Here is an easy way to stay involved with what your 1st-4th Graders are learning with us each week and how YOU can keep Sunday's lesson going all through the week at home. Simply download the Parent Cue App which provides simple CUES throughout the week to help remind you to pause and make the most of everyday moments.
The content goes hand in hand with our lessons each Sunday and is updated weekly. There is even some great resources for parents such as videos, podcast, and articles.
